Is this the best kernel for a P4 HT CPU?
I'm on a P4 3.0 CPU server with hyperthreading, and my kernel is:
2.6.10-1.14_FC2smp
Is this the best kernel for this type of CPU? When my server crashed, my host said it was due to a kernel panic, specifically, the kernel booting as multi-processor kernel, and changed it to single processor. It's since been changed to mult-processor again. Does it really matter either way? Still experiencing some server crashing problems, and am trying to rule out the kernel being the problem.
