yum/up2date/apt-get equivalent on freebsd

Hello
i seek the equivalent of yum/up2date/apt-get on my freebsd 5.3rc
i heard about cvsup (i ran this command : cvsup -h cvsup6.freebsd.org /usr/share/examples/cvsup/ports-supfile)
then, i don't know how to update my software
i heard about portupgrade, but :

portupgrade: Command not found. 
i'm an absolute newbie under freebsd, and i don't know how to install it properly and run it...

however, if you know a real equivalent of yum/up2date/apt-get installed by default it would be great...
