Having mail server on a different IP/SERVER
I recently (2-3 months) got a reseller account from varhosting (GREAT TEAM! - really) and now, today actually, i got a client asking me to host his site but that he wants to host his email by his own. Since everything is possible i accepted
.Oki so deal is like this:
we're talking about a domain that is already hosted somewhere else then my account, on client's server. He has setup there windows with apache and some mail server.. dunno what mailserver.
Now i created his account on my reseller account and asked registrar to change his dns's to mines. When this will happen, about 12 hours from now on, i need to know HOW i make my cpanel to redirect all email traffic to his IP, i say again that he has only IP right now, and in cpanel says on MX Entry to put only domain names no IPs.
I need to find out how i can make mail.hisdomain.ro point to HIS IP. and also mx exchanger to be his IP....
I repeat, right now his server is working perfectly, he has email and all stuff needed, but in few hours registrar will chnage NAMESERVERS to mines and will be moved on my server. I need the email traffic to be redirected from my server to his server. Please help me. THX
