how to close all processes on a linux-server?
I got a problem with my server: The server load is always above 2 and the server itself is very slow since several weeks. Now I don´t really know much about serveradmin and wanna close all processes to test wether probably a malicious script could cause the server being that slow and the server load being that high.
Does there exist a simple way how to do that (closing all running processes)?
The server is administered by Cpanel and runs on redhat linux...
would probably to a forceful reboot do the trick (cpanel)? or a gracreful? or anything else?
