Cant get domain working

these are my steps so im baffled why it isnt working
1. Gone into my registrar and pointed the domain to my nameservers
2. created the directory , chown and chmod
3. created the user with that path
4. Created an entry in httpd.conf
5. created the .net.db file
6. restarted httpd and named
7 . verified again and agin if these details are correct
still not working
