What's this thing call I'm confused.

I been trying to explain to my techs of this issue that 1 of my client needed,

okay so he wanted WildCard enabled, which I told my techs to did it for him.... then he said something about

When you visit:

http://test.find101us.info it should be showned as

DEBUG [find101us.info][test.find101us.info]

Instead of....

DEBUG [find101us.info][www.find101us.info]

Can anyone give me a brief summary of what this is, or what's it called, so I can explain this to my techs to do it for him.
