my.cnf file has only 2 lines...

My /etc/my.cnf is like this.

[mysqld]
set-variable = max_connections=500
safe-show-database


I am on RHEL/cPanel/MySQL 4.0.24/PHP4.3.11. It is a Dual Xeon Server with 2 GB Ram with around 150 sites on the server.

Though I have not faced any problems till now with the existing my.cnf file...Please tell me if my 'my.cnf' config is sufficient? ..if not...then can you please suggest a my.cnf configuration that can help in optimising my servers performance...Thanks for your help...
