Anyone has experience installing webmin / web-cp or vhcs or zpanel?
has anyone got experience installing webmin, web cp, vhcs, or zpanel on Centos 3.4 preferrably, or red hat ev3 or fedora 3 will work?
i need a little bit of help setting this up on a fresh install of centos 3.4, and I have read and read tutorials and just keep getting more errors.
So far, ALL I have done to the server, is login, run yum update, find and install ONE rpm for apt get, and run apt update, then apt upgrade (only upgraded VERY few things).
Now I had a bunch of trouble installing web cp last week, I never got it to work and broke mysql and really f'ed up my server.
there are people who have said they can install a free control panel in less than 10-15 minutes and have the server setup, can one of you guys who has ANY experience contact me ( msn morestuff4free@hotmail.com / AIM: MoreStuff4Free ) and maybe lend me 10-15 minutes of your time so I can rest easy?
I am very handy with coding in many languages, mainly php and mysql, I can help you out in that ANYTIME YOU NEED in return for helping me with this very small matter of installing a control panel and setting up MY FIRST DOMAIN website on the server. ( I have installed webmin, I mean it takes 20 seconds, but then configuring it I cannot figure out and I have NO clue how/where to add nameservers to the server, and no clue how to setup my first few domains on the server.
I can secure servers pretty good, mod security, apf, bfd, Les, ALL of those I can do on my own, I just need help setting up my first domain on a fresh install of centos without a control panel. I am almost on the brink of just installing cpanel on this new server (without a license), just to get BIND installed properly ( APT-GET install bind does NOT work, I don't know why.)
