Very High Load , What are the possible reasons
These days my server get on High CPU and Memory load frequently , actually it is the fourth time i face this problem , and each time the problem finished and i dont know what was the reason !!
but this time it comes from 2 days and not finished yet !
so i want really to know what is the procedures that we should take in this situation , i think high load is very common problem and all servers owner have to know how to solve it !!
i use TOP command and i see some processes that use the CPU/ Memory very heavily , i Kill them , but the problem still exist , i think TOP command is missleading and useless , because we can not know through it what is the actuall user that launch this process and what is the actuall application (Script , File , Database ... ) that launch this process , we just know the command of that process (httpd , mysqld .... etc )
So , i think to solve this problem we have to know from where (EXACTLY) this high load comes.
again , i need you to help to find a logical sequence of procedures to solve this problem !
