I have a project up and coming where I need to build a log server, to basically do nothing but process all of the web logs from our web servers (Currently 4 load balanced web servers running Debian, 2 files servers running nfs and 1 Windows standalone server, which isn't part of the cluster, but may become part of it in the future as more windows servers are added.)
I want to have a nice gui for clients to login into and still open minded for methods of collating the logs together for processing.
I thought about using Urchin for this, has anyone used Urchin in this kind of setup? Do you have any other recommendations for stat software to be used for this purpose? Gotcha's, experience and new ideas are all welcome
