Step by Step Guide to setting up the DNS on a server

Hi, I just got a dedicated server. I'm fine with setting up most of the configuration except for the DNS settings. Would anyone be able to help me with this? I need a FULL step by step guide to set everything that has to do with the nameservers.

I'm using WHM 10.6.0 and linux RedHat Enterprise 3 i686.
