"top" (or mysql) is acting strange?

Hello,

The following is my output from "top" on a dual processor freebsd system:

PID USERNAME PRI NICE SIZE RES STATE C TIME WCPU CPU COMMAND
439 mysql 63 0 67340K 64396K RUN 1 101.7H 93.50% 93.50% mysqld

its been showing this for a long time now, but if I try mytop to see mysql threads it always return a whole bunch of threads with "Sleep"...no active threads!
The load average is around 1.10-1.30 all the time.

I don't understand why mysql is acting like this...no running threads showing with mytop but it's using a hell of a lot CPU!

Any ideas/suggestions?

FreeBSD 4.11
Top version 3.5beta12
MySQL 4.1.11
