I tend to get a lot of brute force attempts from my source IP's, for SSH, FTP, SMTP, etc. So many that it actually hits my maxtcpsocks limit on Virtuozzo. My secure log file pegs 2mb a day. Is there a way to block this WITHOUT using maxtcpsocks? IIRC iptables is basically unusable with VZ, and would still use a socket.
