optimal RAID stripe size?

I'm setting up a new server that will have 8 hdds, four hdds in a RAID 10 for MySQL data (and possibly htdocs as well) along with two in a RAID 1 for OS and everything else (other 2 drives will be hot spares).

OS will be CentOS 4.2

Does anyone have an idea of what the optimal stripe size would be for the RAID arrays?

MySQL will be running several vbulletin databases, an odp database, phpadsnew, maybe others later on...

average htdoc file is not very large, maybe 3 to 10kb...

server has 8gb of RAM...
