Low memory, send only SMTP?
One that I noticed was that Postfix was taking up 40 megs. I limited it to one process per daemon and brought that down to 15. But even 15 megs seems to be a lot considering my server doesn't really need to receive mail!
It's a discussion board. It generates many many email messages to the users, but I can forward admin correspondance to my own email account.
Is there some program out there that has the full SMTP ability to send mail to its final destination (NOT something like esmtp that just forwards everything to one master server), but which is really lightweight, especially by dropping any kind of receive functionality?
Conversely, is there an easy way to eliminate all receive-related Postfix processes?
