Hosting Email for Sub-Domain.
I'm new to this forum and this is my first post so I hope I'm putting it in the right section.
I have a regular Linux/cPanel reseller account at HG and I got a strange request (at least for me) from a possible client. They host their web sites and email "in house" but they want me to host emails for them on a sub-domain.
They already own and host xyzcompany.com, they want to create mis.xyzcompany.com on their DNS and point the MX record to my server so I could host emails for xxx@mis.xyzcompany.com.
Is this possible at all ? I don't think I can host a sub-domain without hosting the domain itself, how do I tell my server that I want to handle emails for that sub-domain ?
