Knowing that a domain is Parked

Hi

I was going through a particular whois - http://whois.sc/somesite.com and it shows
Code: 
Website Status: 	Parked
Parked at: 	SomePlace
How does it know its parked ? The whole idea is for others not to know that 2 or more urls point to the same site.
