10 secs hangs on Fedora Core 3
I´m having a problem in a server, that occurs sometimes. Sometimes, the apache or FTP gives a timeout because the server hangs for about 10 seconds. If i do refresh on browser after those 10 seconds, everything is fine. It happens just sometimes, and I believe it has nothing to do with load (running at 1 on a Dual Opteron / 2GB RAM). Does anybody know what could it be? The strangest thing is that I believe it never happened in a ssh session, just on ftp and web services. Also, it has nothing to do with stability issues or overheating. I believe it must be a software issue, or maybe network (however I´m unsure on how to test network).
