iptables --flush locked me out

I made a big mistake on my dedicated server and typed "iptables --flush" as root. I was immediately locked out and can't connect to the server in any way. I don't know what I was thinking!

Anyway, I though that command just flushed all rules, and would be the same as stopping the iptables service?

I am waiting to hear back from 800hosting regarding a reboot. I hope it comes up ok and allows me back in. If not, do all network centers, and 800hosting, have console access to their servers so that someone could fix my mistake for me?
