Hosting.com extends server security layer through global partnership with Monarx
hosting.com has implemented Monarx’s AI-powered server security solution on its global infrastructure, which is a significant change in how big hosting platforms think about server security. The deployment covers Hosting.com’s full server fleet, which supports more than three million websites across over forty locations worldwide.
Formerly known as A2 Hosting, Hosting.com has repositioned itself as a global hosting platform with a distributed footprint designed to balance performance, availability, and operational consistency. With the continued growth of the company across the international scene, security has become a structural issue as opposed to a feature level enhancement. This partnership with Monarx reflects that approach by placing automated threat protection directly within the server environment instead of relying on customer-managed tools.
In addition, the alliance focuses on delivering real-time monitoring and response without introducing any overhead that end users can notice. The Monarx model operates at the server level and targets modern attack vectors, especially those aimed at WordPress-based workloads, which still make up a significant share of global hosting traffic. The system avoids the complexity of plugin-based security while maintaining full coverage.
According to Hosting.com, the key requirement was a solution that could integrate well in a heterogeneous global environment without compromising performance. Dom Taylor, co founder and chief technology officer at Hosting.com, said the company worked closely with Monarx to ensure the system aligned with its scale and growth trajectory, while delivering real time visibility into emerging threats.
Ben Gabler, chief product officer at Hosting.com, said the integration allows customers to operate without managing malware response on their own, since protection now runs directly within the platform. He noted that the focus remains on reducing disruption rather than introducing new configuration burdens.
For Monarx, the agreement puts its technology into a production environment on a large scale, which gives it exposure to a variety of real-world attack scenarios. For Hosting.com, the agreement supports the industry trend of infrastructure providers taking more responsibility for security outcomes.
The hosting industry continues to consolidate and globalize, and the emergence of such partnerships and others like them indicate a move towards a centralized protection paradigm that runs in the background while the user focuses on developing their online presence.
