Kubernetes quietly becomes the control plane for production AI

Kubernetes has moved from infrastructure choice to operational default as enterprises bring AI into production, according to the CNCF’s 2025 cloud native survey. More than 80% of container users now run Kubernetes in live environments, with two-thirds managing AI inference on it. Yet adoption remains cautious, revealing that organizational readiness—not technology—now defines who scales AI successfully.
