Apache 2.0 and referer log

I recently upgraded my server to apache 2.0 and now my referer log is pretty much useless. Has anyone else noticed this and anyone know how to fix it?

This is what shows in my referer log now. In the past, it used to show the calling domain name. Now it is just blank.

- -> /images/top.gif
- -> /images/button3_up.gif
- -> /images/1x1.gif

- -> /images/button5_up.gif
