mySQL importing

I've exported my mySQL databases to a file using phpmyAdmin, and need to import them on to a new server.

I found where to use the import utility in phpmyAdmin, I select the file, it uploads and says it was successful, but the databases don't show up. Any ideas or help would be great - Thanks!
